Plant Size and Maturity

 

Here are a few examples of the sizes of plants we specialize in:

 

Phalaenopsis

 

Examples of blooming-size Phalaenopsis, all approximately 2 years from flask, and all have two pairs of mature leaves; at bottom is a typical Standard Phal, measuring about 17", above which are smaller-growing yellows and multi-florals, measuring 10" to 13".

 

 

Examples of large blooming-size Phalaenopsis, all 3 to 3 1/2 years from flask, and all having three pairs of mature leaves; at bottom is a typical Standard Phal, measuring about 18", above which are smaller-growing yellows and multi-florals, measuring 11" to 13".

 

Dendrobiums

 

Typical blooming-size Phalaenopsis-type Dendrobiums; all plants are more than 2 years from flask, and range in height from 7" to 17", depending on breeding and the relative influence of compact-growing species.

 

Small-growing Oncidiums

 

Typical blooming-size Equitant Oncidiums; all plants are 2 to 3 years from flask; plant heights range from 4" to 8", depending on breeding.

Cattleyas

 

Blooming-size Mini and Midi-Cattleyas; all plants are more than 2 1/2 years from flask; plant heights range from 8" to 14".

 

Small booming-size Standard Cattleyas; all plants are more than 3 1/2 years from flask; heights range from 14" to 16".

 

Vandaceous

 

Typical blooming-size Vandaceous types; all plants are 2 to 3 years from flask.
